Area 2 Pathing (2+)

Area 2 Pathing (Solo)

This is the one that no one likes. If anyone says they do, they are lying. If it's a friend saying this, then end your friendship and never speak to them again.

On a more serious note, is highly advised to at least 2-man this. Soloing takes much longer. Also, BRING A RANGED WEAPON

Starting out in the desert, proceed up the ramp and kill the mechs. WATCH OUT FOR THE EXPLOSIVES. There HAVE been times when people die here, not even 1 minute in. After they're done, go east, but DO NOT GO FAR. On the far wall, you will see a switch that is targetable. WITH A RANGED WEAPON, take it out. If you proceed in too far, you will activate a trap. Avoid this.

Go back and proceed North. As you descend down, a mech bubble will form and mechs will start spawning. Either destroy this bubble and dispatch the enemies or activate the yellow switch. Order doesn't matter, but both must be done. To activate the switch, just press E as fast as you can.

With the enemies gone and the yellow switch activated, hit the next switch near the barrier and bring it down. Continue West now and kill the enemies that spawn. Get to the next mech bubble and do the same thing as before.

Now, here's the first tricky part. From where the bubble was, look north, and you'll see another targetable switch. Hit it like before, but don't let the trap activate. If it does, not a big deal.

Note, you will see another switch to the East. You can hit it but it doesn't do anything for this route.

After the North switch is activated, go SOUTH, passed where the bubble was. Kill the mechs, and once again watch out for the explosives. Keep going up the ramp, kill the next mechs, and again watch out.

Now, with the red barrier down, just RUN PAST EVERYTHING. The yellow switch, the airship, the enemies, everything. Turn the corner, and you'll see containers behind a yellow barrier. Just behind that is the blue wall. Literally, touch the wall, then run all the way back to the hit switch you hit before going south. Again, ignore everything.

If you didn't spawn the trap before, it might now. If you're solo, it will. Otherwise, the way around this is to have a second person INTENTIONALLY activate it, then the other person touches the wall. After activating the hit switch, the enemies will disperse.

Now however, thanks to you running south and touching the wall, the north barrier above the trap area is open. Go forth, young one, up the ramp, activate the yellow switch again, and dispatch the mechs. Repeat for next area. Going east now, you'll be in a smaller circular area. Kill all the enmies to open the red barrier.

Now, you have an option for this next part. Going east further leads to several groups of enemies, all of which must be killed. In order, Spardans, Sparguns, Signo Guns, and Signo Guns with Spardans, and lastly Gilnas Cores. To make this easier, you have the option of gong NORTH at the circlular area. Kill the enemies there and hitting the switch nearby will open up the various explosives around the area. But this is purely personal preference.

After killing all the enemies in this area, go North. And welcome to the tunnels. Head up the ramp, and dispatch the little flying losers.

Now, including the trap earlier, this is the second reason its best to do this with 2 people. Since most people will do it with more than one person, I will explain it as such, and come back for soloers.

One person will go North, another East. West is not used unless this process is messed up.

NORTH: Kill enemies, head up ramp, avoid traps, kill enemies, and avoid the explosives. Then, proceed EAST, not west. Kill enemies again, then go North. Avoid traps once more, and kill the Gilnas Core with the healing robot thats there with him. DO NOT ENTER THE TELEPIPE. Once thats done, go North, and you'll see various colored barriers. Go east just before them, down the ramp, and east some more. You'll see a blue switch.

PRESS AND STAND ON IT. DO NOT LEAVE IT. A bar will appear on top of it. You never want to see that go down unless you're done. Now, wait for the other side.

EAST: Avoid traps and keep going until the corner. Kill the enemies there, then proceed north. Again, avoid traps and keep going north. You'll eventually see a Gilnas and a healing bot. Kill them both and proceed north again. DO NOT ENTER THE TELEPIPE. Avoid the traps, and PRESS AND STAY on the green switch.

If there is a third person, they will do this next part. Otherwise, the person on GREEN will RUN as FAST AS THEY CAN to where they killed the Gilnas, head DOWN the EAST ramp, and press BOTH switches there quickly. One will spawn after the other is pressed. ONLY WHEN BOTH OF THESE ARE PRESSED DID YOU SUCCEED. You will know if you succeeded when a jump pad opens up on the ramp.

The person on BLUE will leave ONLY when they're told they can, or if they see the jump pad has opened. This appears as a dot with an arrow next to it on the overhead map (Access by pressing N)

All people will now jump across, go around the column, use the telepipe on the far side, which will put everyone right in front of the door to the next area. Proceed in, and kill Tranmizer to complete.

Now, if you're either SOLO or if you messed up at all, thats ok. Just be prepared to add another 5 minutes or more. From when you entered the tunnels, go west and press the switch thats over there. Going on the North route from there, go west again, and avoid the traps, even as you continue South. Press the switch, then make your way back.to when you started going west.

From there, go east, then North. When you reach the next corner, you'll kill all the enemies to open the next barrier. Continue west, kill the enemies to open the next barrier, and you'll come to the area where theres an orange barrier north, and a red barrier west. Dispatch the enemies, and then let one person, if you aren't solo, continue West.

This is probably the hardest part in the area of trap-avoiding. Odds are you or whoever won't make it without screwing up (its not meant to be easy), so if you go with them, or if you're solo, just kill the enemies, hit the orange switch, go north from where the orange barrier was before, and kill Tranmizer to finish.
