Dark Falz Elder

The first Emergency Quest on the small list of ones that do need an explaination is the mighty Dark Falz Elder and his despair-invoking Falz Arms

That is, using the loosest definition of "mighty" and "despair-invoking."

Going by the Matterboard and Story, Elder is the first "Story Boss." This EQ is best for its Experience for all levels and end Meseta Gain (which ends with about 100k Meseta). He also drops rare items, but these are either relatively cheap or are outbested by something else.

Phase 1

(Weak Bullet helpful but not mandatory)

After going through the teleporter, you will be greeted by the 4 Falz Arms. The objective is simply to kill them. All 4 Arms share the same health, so you only need to hit one. The favored weak spot is the back of each arm, although breaking the fingers also reveals weak spots.

Weak bullet is preferred here but not mandatory. A good group can get in dozens of rounds, which leads to several hundred thousand experience in the end.

Phase 2

(Weak Bullet and Zonde helpful but not mandatory)

At 30 minutes past the hour, Elder himself will appear. After you are transported to the platform for the duel, you will see him and his 6 arms, plus 2 more covering his core. This is Part A of your duel with him.

The uppermost 2 arms will not do anything except shoot lasers at random players. However, the other 4 will throw out various attacks. With each one however, the wrist becomes vulnerable, which is the main weak spot for each arm.

After the 4 attacking arms are destroyed, his arms will completely reset, and you will now see a total of 10 arms, 5 on each side. This begins Part B. Like before, the uppermost 2 arms will only use lasers. The 2 below that won't really do anything, but they will not be attackable*. The final 3 on each side will constantly attack, and are your targets, outside the main frontal core.

This is where it gets tricky, however. First, out of those all of his arms, the bottom two(circles in yellow above), aren't destroyable no matter what you do, so hitting this only brings Elder's health down. Some of his attacks will switch the order of his arms, so if you are ever confused as to which arm this is, look at the main body to see which arm is the bottom-most.

The other reason this is tricky is because of what is recommended here: Zonde. Shocking his main core will cause Elder to drop all of his arms, allowing the upper 2 from each side to be hit as well. However, when all of his arms are still unbroken, it is difficult to coordinate with the others to hit the same arm. However, Elder is easy, so this shouldn't be too difficult at all.

Note, shocking Elder in Part A is pointless. You can destroy the upper arms but they will respawn anyway in Part B.

It has been suggested that destroying more arms leads to better loot. However, this wasn't ever proven, and with the arrival of more recent EQs, the suggestion has grown irrelevant, as gear from those EQs are most certainly better than whatever Elder drops in just about every way. If you aren't after rare loot, then don't bother with his arms and just hit his core, but please be considerate if others are trying for the arms.

As stated before, Elder is mainly for those trying to gain Experience, for all levels. Meseta from Phase 2 is also good and if you're lucky enough, nab yourself a 13* weapon!
